Dr Mona Kassim

Mona is a faith-based social impact entrepreneur dedicated to driving positive change through her multifaceted approach. With a passion for empowering individuals and organizations, she combines her expertise in professional talent development, contents design, consulting, storytelling and coaching to address pressing societal challenges.

With an enriching career spanning over 26 years she has assumed various senior academic and leadership roles in two national universities including Head of Strategic Quality and Assurance Management Unit and Deputy Director of the Institute of Leadership and Innovation Advancement (ILIA). She was the first Project Manager fora pioneering Nationwide Transformational Leadership Programme for Educators. She was an International Faculty Member in Schouten Global (Netherlands) with experience in the Shell Academies in Brunei and Malaysia. She is an ASEAN Business Professor awarded under the 'Consultant Based Learning for ASEAN SMEs' (COBLAS), a Japan- ASEAN Integration Funded programme. She held the role of the Strategic Partnerships Manager in the i-Centre. She was also the Co- Founder and Principal of Pusat Tenaga Bersatu (PTB) a welding Registered Training Organisation (RTO). She co-founded several social impact businesses namely Bridges Talent Management Consultancy, Tarbiyyah Global, PAZ Tarbiyyah Islamic Enrichment Centre and the Happy Harun Company. She championed inclusive education as the Lead Contents Designer for the Tarbiyyah Project for Kids Pedagogy of Play, which is an interactive faith-based children’s enrichment programme.

A Purpose-Centred Competency Framework Fit for Brunei

A competency framework outlines what employees need to excel. We consider the whole person, valuing integrity (sidiq), trust (amanah), intelligence and wisdom (fathanah) and advocacy (tabligh) in alignment with the core attributes in the prophetic leadership model. This is required within our national context which is alignment with the Maqasid As-Syariah, our Negara Dzikir foundation and progress towards achieving Wawasan 2035.
